Who we are

In 2015 we were awarded the highest Third Level of Accreditation by the Philippine government Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the care we give to our children and the systems in place for accountability. In the same year, we were accredited to Philippine Council for Non-Government Organization Certification as we established standards on good governance, financial management and accountability.

Today, we continue to serve 135 children in our care. We have been recognized as Best NGO for 2 consecutive years 2018-19 as we remain committed to provide quality programs..

Our story

Concordia Children’s Services is a child welfare agency that provides both residential and community-based programs. We take in orphans and assist children who are from very poor families and provide them with education, spiritual hope and nourishment. CCS was founded in 1983, in partnership with another child-caring agency for abandoned, neglected and orphaned children. As the organization grew, we were incorporated.

In 1988, our name was changed to Concordia to reflect our Lutheran heritage. In 1989, we expanded to serve the street and urban poor children in Pasig City. By 1996, we expanded again to serve the needs of the street and urban poor children in the Santa Mesa area, which is in the center of Manila. We expanded serving babies and street children in 2013 by renovating the Santa Mesa location and adding space for our orphans and street children to have more resources. We also added more social workers.

Our Mission

To manifest God’s love and compassion by nurturing abandoned, neglected and surrendered infants, and empower older children through education and holistic development, and inspire donors and volunteers to be partners in creating a life-long impact on the lives of the children.

Our Vision

Every child in a loving Christian family where he or she is nurtured and given the opportunity to grow and develop into a mature, caring, faithful and responsible individual.
